Rebecca A.(Simmons) Gregory,58,of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at the University of
Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.
Born on June 24, 1964, in Staunton, she was a daughter of Hazel Marie (Fitzgerald) Simmons and the late Charles
Raymond Simmons.
Prior to her illness,Rebecca was employed by Stuarts Draft High School where she worked as a custodian for 13
faithful years.She greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors and babysitting. Rebecca will be lovingly missed by all
those who knew her.
Survivors include her son, Travis Simmons of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Megan Simmons of Waynesboro,and
Carmen Simmons (Dustin Gregory) of Waynesboro; boyfriend, Elbert Graham Jr. of Waynesboro; mother,Hazel
Simmons of Stuarts Draft; three sisters, Susan Isakson (Milton) of Oregon, Debra Simmons of Stuarts Draft,and Ruth
Welcher (Brian) of Stuarts Draft; and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday,October 29,2022, at the
Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes,618 W. Main St.,Waynesboro.
