Betty Sue Good, 83, of Newburg, PA, passed away September 30, 2023 at her home. She had lived most of her life in
Broadway but recently moved to PAto be near her daughter.
She was born July 9, 1940 in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Mark “Dewey” and “Cleta” Mitchell
Emswiler.
Betty Sue enjoyed traveling, Gospel music, and sewing many comforters along with her husband, which they donated to
Christian Aid Ministries. One of her greatest joys was spending time with family. For a number of years each summer she
planned a family gathering at Lost River State Park in WV. She was a member of Bethesda Mennonite Church.
On June 9, 1962 she married Kenneth I. Good, who survives.
Also surviving are son; Kervin Good and wife Erma, of Singers Glen, daughter; Donna Hostetler and husband Galen, of
Richland Center, WI, son; Marlin Good and wife Edna, of Richland Center, WI, daughter; Pamela Garman and husband Lamar,
of Newburg, PA, sister; Bonnie Lahman and husband Dewitt, of Broadway, brother-in-law; Norman Benner, of Bridgewater,
sister-in-law; Wanda Emswiler Simmers; of Harrisonburg, 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by siblings; Ruth Emswiler, Harold Emswiler, Doris Benner and Mark Emswiler.
The ministry of the church will conduct a funeral service 10 AM Friday, October 6, 2023 at Bethesda Mennonite Church at
15519 North Mountain Road, Broadway. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Bethesda Mennonite Church on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
There will not be any services at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
