Amanda Lynn Foster, 33, of Ruckersville, VApassed away at 9:19 am on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Hospice of the
Piedmont Center forAcute Hospice Care. She had a long battle with ulcerative colitis and for 13 years did her best with this
relentless disease until it finally took its toll on her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger William Foster; her grandparents, Louise and William Collier; grandmother, Billie
Rae Woodall; and her godfathers, Ronnie Dorsey and Stephen Hasenbien.
After graduating from William Monroe High School, she landed a job with The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and
School as a summer intern and worked with the Center for Military Law and Operation [CLAMO]. She later went to work with
McDonalds and made it all the way from food preparation to shift manager.Amanda enjoyed being in the food industry and held
various jobs as wait staff for Blue Ridge Cafe and Timberwood Grill and worked at Einstein Bagels at UVAEngineer Building.
Amanda is survived by her mother, Sandra Lynn Woodall; her brother, Jesse James Foster and his wife Tasha Foster, Lexington,
VA; her sweet, precious Child of God, Luna Ivy-Layne Farmer. Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers, especially little
Luna. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and much, much more extended family members.
ACelebration of Life will be held at Batten Funeral Home on Saturday, October 28, 2023, beginning at 2 p.m.
