M. David Dellinger, 69, of Edinburg, passed away at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital on January
30, 2023. David was an Edinburg native who worked for C.E. Thompson and Sons for many years.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time helping others when he could.
Mr. Dellinger was born May 11, 1953 to the late Theodore and Susie Wetzel Dellinger. He is
preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Frances H. Burch; brothers, Charles T. Dellinger and
Thomas Dellinger; a sister, Esther “Pete” Wetsel; sister-in-law, Caroline Brown; brothers-in-law,
William “Bill” Hatter, Ray Smootz, and Donnie Burch; nephew, Jason Brown, and special family
member, Lloyd “Andy” Wetzel.
He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 50 years, Myra Burch Dellinger of Edinburg;
sister, Rosetta “Tina” Hatter, of Fort Myers, FL; brother, Wayne (Patricia) Dellinger of Edinburg;
sisters-in-law, Sylvia (Charles) Ryman, of Mt. Jackson and Nancy Burch of Edinburg; nephews,
Dwight (fiancé, Catherine) Brown of Woodstock, Chris (Darlene) Ryman of Toms Brook, Jamie
(Donia) Ryman of Mt. Jackson, Donnie Burch of Edinburg, Garret (Dawn) Burch of Woodstock,
Robin (Melissa) Hatter of Fort Myers, FL, Jerry Wetsel of Edinburg; nieces, Alecia Burch of
Edinburg, Angel Hatter and Crystal (Drew) Fitzgerald of Fort Myers, FL, as well as many great
nieces and nephews.
Per David’s request there will not be a service.
