Ronald L. Davis, 60


Ronald Lee Davis, 60, of Elkton, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in Elkton.

Mr. Davis was born Sept. 23, 1946, in Rockingham County, and was a son of the late Bessie Marie Davis.

He served two tours in the Army during Vietnam and also two tours in Germany. He was a long-distance truck driver for 27 years and enjoyed races and John Wayne movies.

On July 1, 1977, he married Margaret Louise Comer, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, David Lee Davis of Shenandoah; a brother, Donald R. Davis of Demorest, Ga.; a sister, Frances Sipe of Elkton; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Pastor Russ Barb and the Rev. Carter Dean will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Burial will follow at the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 this evening at the funeral home.
