Tom L. Davidson of Harrisonburg, VAdied on Saturday, September 30, 2023 of natural causes. He was 93 years old.
Tom was a native Westerner who was born in Salt Lake City on June 17, 1930. He was the youngest of the four children born to
HansArthur and Margaret Olson Davidson. Tom spent much of his youth in Ogden, UT where he enjoyed riding horses, hiking
the canyons, and playing with his dog Spud.
Tom graduated from Ogden High School where he met his beloved wife Jacquelyn (Johnson). They were married for 74 years.
Tom and Jackie’s marriage was blessed by four daughters, Susan Roberts of Earlysville, VA, Kristine Rowe of Linden, VA,
Celinda Stanley of Martinsburg, WV, and Jennifer Edwards of Statesville, NC, along with four sons-in-law, nine grandchildren
and 16 great-grandchildren.
Tom’s career took the family to Bellevue, WAand Missoula, MT before settling in the Washington DC area in 1968. Tom
worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as a program manager for many years. After retirement, he moved to Monterey,
VAwhere he built his dream home before later settling in Harrisonburg.
Tom was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held many positions in the church
throughout his lifetime, but was particularly proud of his service as bishop of the Franklin (WV) Ward. Tom and Jackie also
served a church mission at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.
Acelebration of life will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton followed by interment
at Duck Run Natural Cemetery
