James Howard Cook, 86, of Waynesboro, VA, went to be with the Lord on
Thursday, November 3, 2022. He was born in Waynesboro on July 25, 1936.
Howard was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Hildred Hull Cook;
his parents, Renis Dinkle and Lucy Naomi (Sandy) Cook; brother, Donald
Cook; and sister, Caroline Cook.
Survivors include his two sisters, Jean Pittman and Frances Love; as well
as numerous nieces and nephews.
Howard served in the United States Army and retired from General
Electric/Genicom. He enjoyed spending time with his family and out at his
farm in Hightown, VA.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 6:00
p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville.
Burial will be private
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Howard’s memory
to Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church, 688 Highland Avenue,
Waynesboro, VA 22980.
