Margaret L. Cave, 90


Margaret Lucille Cave, 90, of Elkton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2011, at her home.

Mrs. Cave was born on June 5, 1920, in Darby, Ohio, and was a daughter of the late Oliver and Bessie Hayes Sheets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Sheets.

She worked for Lazarus Department Stores in Columbus, Ohio, and Sancar in Harrisonburg. She was a member of the Elkton Church of God, where she taught the adult Sunday school class for many years. She loved to attend church activities and would visit and minister to those in nursing homes through songs. She was an avid gardener and loved to crochet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben (Bob) Cave on March 7, 1985.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Cave and wife, Joan, of Elkton, Rodney Cave and wife, Lynn, of Beaver Dam, Va., and Dwight Cave and wife, Libby, of Elkton; two brothers, Edward Sheets of Columbus, Ohio, and Oliver Sheets "Jr." of Grove City, Ohio; one sister, Kathleen Hoop of Lancaster, Ohio; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at the Cave family cemetery in Shenandoah.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Elkton.
