Curtis F. Calhoun
Curtis Ford Calhoun, 90, of Petersburg, W.Va., died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at Grant County Nursing Home, where he had lived since April 10, 2000.
Mr. Calhoun was born Sept. 23, 1911, in Brushy Run, W.Va., and was a son of the late Martin Dow Calhoun and Rachel Ann Graham Calhoun.
He retired in 1976 from the Frank Wilson Lumber Company in Elkins, W.Va. and was a member of Mount Horeb United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Cowger Calhoun in 1977.
On June 26, 1985, he married Doris M. Carbaugh, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Marlin W. Calhoun of Cleveland, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Judy A. Reedy of Moorefield, W.Va.; three sisters, Kate Alt of Landes, W.Va., Lillian Miller of Harrisonburg, and Bessie Hevener of Mount Crawford; two brothers, Olin Calhoun and Quentin Calhoun, both of Upper Tract, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pastor Glen Hamric will conduct the funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. Burial will be at the Kline Cemetery in Kline, W.Va.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
