John Joseph Bruce, Sr., 71, of Staunton, Virginia, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at Augusta
Health, Fishersville. He was born November 11, 1951 in Washington, D. C., son of the late Robert
Allen Bruce, Sr. and Mary Sarah Elwood Bruce.
John loved to play pool and cards and liked watching sports on TV, he particularly enjoyed football.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Allen Bruce, Jr.
Survivors include his two sons, John Bruce, Jr., and his girlfriend, Becky Fuller of Buford, Georgia
and Carl Bruce of Staunton; his sister, Kathleen Bruce of Elkridge, Maryland; his brother, Michael
Bruce of Hagerstown, Maryland; his sister, Kathleen Hubbard of Hagerstown, Maryland and three
grandchildren, Brittni Bruce, Austin Bruce and Jonah Bruce.
A service will be planned for a future date in Maryland.
