Eva M. Brubaker

Eva Margaret Brubaker, 69, of 2703 Ottobine Road, Dayton, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at her home following an illness of three weeks.

Mrs. Brubaker was born June 28, 1933, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Walter Rhodes and Mary Shank Beery.

She was a homemaker and a rug weaver. She was a member of the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church,

On July 28, 1963, she married Menno Shirk Brubaker, who preceded her in death Jan. 19, 1972.

Surviving are two daughters, Emma Jean Smith of Weyers Cave, and Elva Whetzel of Dayton; five sisters, Lydia Ann Beery, Carrie Beery, and Vada Rhodes, all of Dayton, and Vera Showalter and Lois Good, both of Harrisonburg; and five grandchildren.

Bishop Marion Wenger and the ministers of the church will conduct the funeral 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Her body was taken to her home, where friends may call at any time.

Arrangements are by the McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
