andbrothers, Frank Rennie, III,Allen Rennieand ThomasRennieof Richmond ,Va.
Nan attendedThomasJeffersonHighSchool and went on tograduatefrom Madison Collegein 1952. Shebegan her
teaching careerin Richmond, VawhereshemarriedBob.Theythen moved back toPleasantHill Farm in Swoope, Va.where
theyraisedfivechildren and hadmany wonderfultimes hostingtheirrelatives and friends, V.S.D.B.classes andforeign
exchangestudents. Throughoutherlongcareer, Nan workedas ateacherof thedeafatV.S.D.B,then asacounselor,
receiving herMasters' Degreeincounseling from J.M.U. laterin life. Shewasalsoan interpreterforthehearing-impaired
community. Nan wasanaturalborncounselorand helped manystudents.
Throughouttherest of her life, shecontinuedtoofferakind, listeningearand encouraging, upliftingwords toallin need.
Shewas amemberof theTuesdayClub;wasa WoodrowWilson Birthplacehistoricalinterpreter; andwasamemberofthe
choir, aswellasan Elderat HebronPresbyterian Church.Shewasknownforherlove ofdancing, singingand tellingagood
joke. She caredgreatlyforthewell-beingof thosearoundher.
