With deepest sorrow, we announce that Darian Brown, age 45, departed this life on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at his
home. Darian was born in Charlottesville, Va, on March 23, 1978 and he was the son of Wanda Barksdale and Chauncey
Brown.
Those who knew Darian, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. He will be greatly missed for his sense of
humor and concern for others. He had a unique cooking style, and a great ability to draw. His legacy will live on in the
hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with.
Darian will be missed everyday by his mother, Wanda Barksdale and her husband Garrett Barksdale of Manassas, Va; his
father, Chauncey Brown and his wife Gale Brown of Louisa, Va; his sisters, Tamika Thomasson and her husband Eddie
Thomasson of Culpeper, Va, Balone Thompson of Charlottesville, Va; and his brother, Darrick Brown and his wife
Towanda Brown of Charlottesville, Va; and April and Simon Ward of Richmond, Va; as well as a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, uncles and aunts, and friends.
Darian will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. We would love you to come and honor his life at 11
a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Evergreen Ministries, 2001 Earlysville Road, Charlottesville, VA, with Pastor
Stanley Woodfolk officiating.
