David Paul Bratton, Jr. 87 of Edinburg passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, in Winchester.
Services will be on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in
Mifflin, PA. The family will receive friends prior to the graveside at Guss Funeral Home 20 South
Third Street Mifflintown, PA.
David was born on January 23, 1935, in Mifflintown, PA. and was the son of the late David, Sr. and
Evelyn Clark Bratton. He served in the Army as an MP during the Korean Conflict. He loved to hunt
and fish and was an avid reader and history buff. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Pat
Clipper, and Josie Ott.
David is survived by his wife, Shirley; 2 sons, Mark Bratton and his wife, Kellie, and David A.
Bratton; 2 daughters, Anne Marie Eaton, and Lydia J. Bratton; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Julie,
Bethany Humbertson and her husband Garrett, David, and Leah; 2 great grandchildren, Parker, and
Maddie; 2 brothers, Roger, and Steve Bratton.
