Minnie A. Blosser, 92
Minnie Alice Blosser, 92, of Harrisonburg, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at her home.
Mrs. Blosser was born July 11, 1913, in Rockingham County, and was the daughter of the late Theodore Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Riddle Davis.
She and her husband owned and operated a grocery store in Shenandoah during the late 1940s. In 1949, they moved to a farm in the Massanetta Springs area where she was still living at the time of her death. In 1957, they started the operation of Lake Shenandoah.
Mrs. Blosser was a member of the Massanutten Presbyterian Church, attended Muhlenberg Lutheran Church, and was also an associate member of Delray Beach Presbyterian Church in Delray Beach, Fla.
In August 1933, she married Claude W. Blosser Sr. who preceded her in death March 6, 1989.
Survivors include three children, Claude W. Blosser Jr. and Shelby B. Moore, both of Harrisonburg, and Claudette B.T. Lucibello of Reston; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Pastors John Leggett and Joe Vought will conduct a graveside service 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Massanutten Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Massanutten Presbyterian Church, Muhlenberg Lutheran Church, Harrisonburg Rescue Squad or Rockingham Memorial Hospital Hospice.
Arrangements are by the Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. The casket will be closed.
