Patricia Yvonne Battle, 64 of Charlottesville, died Wednesday November 9, 2022 at the University of Virginia Hospital. Born December 11, 1957, she was the daughter of the late John PershingAtkins andAnnie ElizabethAtkins. She worked as a nurse at UVAfor forty years. Pat was a caring nurse, a loving daughter, faithful sister, devoted mother and a grandmother of two. More than that she was a committed friend and righteous prayer warrior. You fought the good fight and no matter what it looks like to who remain, you completed your race victoriously. The examples you set will never be forgotten. You are loved beyond measures and will be remembered until we meet again. Rise in glory. Pat is survived by her son, Eric Battle of Charlottesville, brothers, JimmyAtkins and wife Ellen of LakeAnna, DannyAtkins and wife Glenda of Gordonsville, JuniorAtkins and wife Jean of Gordonsville, sisters, Margaret Robbins of Gordonsville, Peggy Boisvert and husband Robert of Gordonsville, Paula Hutchinson and husbandAllen of Gordonsville, Tonya Watkins and husband Donald of Fayetteville, NC, Vikki Sims of Fayetteville, NC, two grandchildren,Aydyn Bielke, Journey Battle and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Amemorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday November 18, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with Pastor Gino Bryant officiating.
