Christine H. Armentrout, 71


Christine Helene Armentrout, 71, of Petersburg, W.Va., died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va.

Mrs. Armentrout was born Oct. 14, 1934, in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, and was a daughter of the late Martin Seitz and Katherine Enders Seitz.

She and her husband were owners and managers of Armentrout’s Store in Petersburg for 38 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond G. Armentrout, on Sept. 9, 1992.

Survivors include three sons, David G. Armentrout and Kevin E. Armentrout, both of Petersburg and John A. Armentrout of Kathleen, Ga.; three sisters, Anna Holman of Baltimore, Md., Marianna Andreschefski of Kassel, Germany, and Sophie Seitz of Germany; and two grandchildren.

The Rev. Gary Phillips will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. Burial will be at Kline Cemetery, Kline, W.Va.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
