Arthur D. Armentrout, 83
Arthur D. Armentrout, 83, of Seneca Rocks, W.Va., died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Grant County Nursing Home.
Mr. Armentrout was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Macksville, W.Va., and was the son of the late Grover C. and Margie Catherine Harper Armentrout.
He was a farmer and had retired from Greer Lime Co. He had attended North Fork Schools and was a Methodist by faith.
Surviving are three sisters, Carolyn “Jean” Wimer of Riverton, W.Va., Ann Armentrout of Ocala, Fla., and Carrie Whetzel of Elkins, W.Va.; three brothers, Ray Armentrout of Seneca Rocks, W.Va., Guy Armentrout of Cherry Grove, W.Va., and John Armentrout of Columbus, Ind., and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor Barbara Rexroad will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Sunday from the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, W.Va. Burial will be in the Armentrout Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Safe Harbor Palliative Care at the Grant County Nursing Home or a charity of choice.
