Maxine Argenbright, 80


Violet Maxine McCray Argenbright, 80, of 550 Dry Branch Road in Churchville, and formerly of 500 C St., Apt. 119 in Staunton, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at the Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.

Mrs. Argenbright was born March 12, 1926, in Augusta County, and was a daughter of Alexander and Nettie Jackson McCray.

She was a seamstress for Genesco 37 years before retiring.

Her husband, Calvin L. Argenbright Sr., preceded her in death.

Surviving are four daughters, Beverley Arehart of Waynesboro, Carol Senger of Weyers Cave, and Judy Hamilton and Brenda Fitzgerald, both of Churchville; a son, Calvin Argenbright Jr. of Churchville; a brother, Harlan McCray of Missouri; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at West Augusta Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation or viewing.

Arrangements are by Bear Funeral Home in Churchville.
