Anne S. Arey

Anne Staubus Arey, 71, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at her home in Staunton.

She was born July 8, 1933, in Mount Solon, and was a daughter of the late Earl and Merle Louise Michael Staubus.

Mrs. Arey was a very active member of the Jollivue United Methodist Church and the church Women’s Group and had served on the administrative board. She was active with the American Cancer Society since 1963.

On Jan. 2, 1954, she was united in marriage to John O Arey of Staunton, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Terry Arey of Charlottesville; a sister, Audrey Staubus Bocock of Staunton; a brother, Earl Dewitt Staubus of Verona; and a grandson, Shaun Arey Myers of Staunton.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2005, at the Mount Zion Church Cemetery in Mount Solon with the Rev. W.S. Volskis officiating.

Friends may call anytime at the home, 325 Driscoll Street in Staunton.
