Roy Arbogast, 81


Roy Arbogast, 81, of Circleville, W.Va., died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at his home.

Mr. Arbogast was born May 29, 1925, in Cherry Grove, W.Va., and was the son of the late Archie Arbogast and Suttie Bennet Arbogast.

He was a member of Big Run Presbyterian Church and was a sawyer.

Survivors include his companion of 27 years, Elaine Turner; a daughter, Jennifer Sponaugle of Circleville, W.Va.; four sons, Archie Ray Arbogast of Dunmore, W.Va., Roy Lee Arbogast of Goldsboro, N.C., Roy Lee Ellinger of Moyers, W.Va., and Daniel Arbogast of Cherry Grove; a sister, Hazel Malcolm of Spotswood; three grandchildren and eight stepgrandchildren.

The Rev. Mark McAllister will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday at Big Run Presbyterian Church, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening. Burial will be at Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, W.Va.
