Gae Alta Arbogast, 95



Gae Alta Arbogast, 95, of Bridgewater, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Avante at Harrisonburg.

She was born in Onego, W.Va., on July 15, 1915, and was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Della Mae (Vance) Arbogast.

She was retired from Shen-Mar and had worked at Celanese.

She is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Morral of Harrisonburg; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Arbogast of Bridgewater; a sister-in-law, Elsa Arbogast of Harrisonburg; four grandchildren, Robyn Gibson, Scott Morral, Chris Arbogast, and Tim Morral; seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry P. Arbogast, and a granddaughter, Pam Arbogast Swecker.

A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Bridgewater at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, with preacher Greg Adamson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
