John D. Andrews Jr., 67


John David "J.D." Andrews Jr., 67, of 2913 Rawley Pike in Harrisonburg, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mr. Andrews was born Aug. 12, 1938, in Rockingham County, and was a son of the late John David and Mamie Ray Andrews Sr.

He was a veteran of the Army and retired from Merck and Company in 2001. He was currently working for Custom Deliveries. He was a member of Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church.

On Oct. 27, 1967, he married the former Flossie Michael, who survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Carroll L. Andrews of Mount Solon and Timothy M. Andrews of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Mark R. Andrews and Stephen W. Andrews, both of Mount Clinton; and two grandchildren.

The Rev. George Evans and Wendell "Sonny" Henkel will conduct a memorial service 11 a.m. Monday at Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
