Deann J. Andrews, 47


Deann June Andrews, 47, of Weyers Cave, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville from injuries she suffered in an automobile accident.

Ms. Andrews was born Sept. 27, 1959, in Harrisonburg, and was a daughter of Jimmy Dee Andrews of Weyers Cave and Norma Deloris Shull Andrews of Harrisonburg.

She worked with her father in janitorial service for the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Post No. 4150 in Harrisonburg. She enjoyed her flower gardens, her son, her dog, "Girlfriend", the outdoors, hauling and chopping wood.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Michael Whitney Hammer of Dayton; her stepmother, Judy Andrews of Weyers Cave; a sister, Pamela Dawn Wooters of Frankford, Del.; a stepbrother; Gary S. Allman of Weyers Cave; and fiancé, Bryson Michael of Mount Solon.

The Rev. Tony Martin and Wesley Grove will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Spring Creek Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater.
