Bonnie J. Andrew, 71, of Bridgewater, died WEdnesday, June 18, 2008, at her home, following a long illness.

Mrs. Andrew was born June 17, 1937, in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Lester and Velva Hummel Hussey.

She worked at Marshall’s in Bridgewater, and previously worked at the 7-Eleven in Bridgewater. She was an EMT and a member of the Bridgewater Rescue Squad, Mount Solon Fire and Rescue and Clover Hill Fire and Rescue. She attended Victory Baptist Church.

On Aug. 22, 1953, she married Billie Edward Andrew, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, June Denise Richardson of Harrisonburg; a son, Steven Edward Andrew of Petersburg, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pastor Bruce Murray will conduct the funeral 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Bridgewater. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bridgewater.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
