Rachel P. Andes

Rachel Pangle Andes, 61, of Mauzy Lane, Broadway, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Andes was born Sept. 28, 1940, in Winchester, and was a daughter of Phenie Ritter Pangle of Linville and the late Medford M. Pangle.

She was a homemaker and attended the Elkton Pentecostal Church and the New Market Pentecostal Church.

On June 9, 1959, she married Hubert William Andes, who preceded her in death July 18, 1998.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Terry Lynn, Larry Allen and Charles Michael Andes, all of Broadway; a daughter, Kellie Renee Andes of Broadway; a brother, Gary Pangle of Linville; two sisters, Joan Knupp of Linville, and Dorothy Gochenour of New Market; and five grandchildren.

The Rev. Travis Hensley will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. Burial will be at the Linville Cemetery in Linville.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
