Peggy C. Andes, 77


Peggy Joyce (Cale) Andes, 77, widow of Jacob William “Bill” Andes of 302 N. Second St., Bridgewater, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in the Bridgewater Nursing Home.

She was born May 25, 1930, in Verona, a daughter of the late Charlie and Genivie (Dunsmore) Cale.

Mrs. Andes was a member of Verona United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, who died on Sept. 8, 2004, she was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Vernie Cale.

Family includes a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Bonnie Cale of Staunton; sister and brother-in-law, Janette and Bill Gordon of Verona; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today, May 1, 2008, in Verona United Methodist Church by the Revs. Jim Harris and Charles F. Reynolds. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jeff Cale, Tony Marcum, Alfred Simmons, and R.H. Simmons.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Bridgewater Home.
