Harry B. Andes, 92


Harry B. Andes, 92, of 14765 North Valley Pike, New Market, passed away Thursday evening at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. Mr. Andes had been a patient at Adonai Gardens Adult Home in Woodstock for the past six months.

He was born Dec. 31, 1913, at Timberville and was a son of the late Harper and Minnie Fulk Andes.

Mr. Andes worked at Court Manor as a young man. Later he was employed by Long’s Poultry and retired from Tysons in New Market.

He was a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church in New Market.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie K. Zirkle Andes; a daughter, Connie Olinger and her husband, Ronald, of New Market; two sisters, Ruby Rhodes of Broadway and Virginia Holland of Penn Laird; two brothers, Forest Andes of Broadway and Earl Andes of Willis, Texas; and two grandsons, Kevin H. Olinger of Shenandoah and Cary I. Olinger of Mount Jackson.

The Rev. Jeffrey Sonafelt will conduct a funeral service 2:00 p.m. Monday at Reformation Lutheran Church. Private interment will follow.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Theis Funeral Chapel in New Market on Sunday from 7-8 p.m.
