Susan R. Anderson, 59


Susan Ross Anderson, 59, of Harrisonburg, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at home in her sleep.

Mrs. Anderson was born Aug. 17, 1947, in Minnesota, and was the daughter of the late Col. Richard Harold Ross and Olga Elanor Papp Ross of Warrenton.

She graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She managed a resort in Palm Springs, Calif. and numerous other motels before moving to Harrisonburg, where she attended Harrisonburg Mennonite Church.

On Nov. 19, 1998, she married James McDonald Anderson, who survives. She is also survived by a son, Jason Tubbs.

Pastors Kathy Hochstedler and Mark Keller will conduct a memorial service 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Harrisonburg Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
