Mary Beth Anderson, 55, of Mt. Jackson passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in Winchester. A
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to
Shenandoah County Animal Shelter: 268 Landfill Road, Edinburg, Virginia 22824.
Mary Beth was born on March 13, 1967, in Takoma Park, Maryland and was the daughter of Richard and Bonnie
Anderson. She loved dogs and horses, and she owned and operated Grandy Grooming in Woodstock for 24 years.
Along with her parents, Mary Beth is survived by two siblings, Vicky Trail (Robert Swan) and Benjamin Anderson, two
nieces, Jessica Trail (Nicole Pontoriero) and Ali Anderson, two nephews Benjamin Anderson Jr. and Mathew
Anderson, as well as six great-nieces and -nephews (Benjamin III, Braelyn, Ellis, Henley, Jayden, and Penelope.) She
was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Richard Earl Anderson.
Mary Beth is also survived by her two favorite beings, her best friend, Reba Watson, and her dog, Scout. Reba was an
integral part of providing love and care for Mary Beth as her battle with dementia began and continued to support until
the end. Mary Beth was also godmother to Reba’s son, Greyson, and she was a wonderful “Aunt Mar.” Mary Beth is
