Mabel L. Anderson

Mabel Louise Anderson, 78, of 18194 Red Brush Road, Elkton, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at her home.

Mrs. Anderson was born Nov. 29, 1924, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late John and Essie Baker Merica.

She attended Furnace United Methodist Church and was employed at Elkton Sleep Wear.

Her husband, Harry Anderson, preceded her in death.

She is survived by four sons, Ronald A. Anderson of Elkton, Malcholm (cq) K. Monger of San Antonio, Texas, Randall R. Monger of Swoope, and Joseph Anderson of Woodstock; a sister, Wanda Cochran; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Billy King will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Burial will follow at Koontz Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
