Lloyd R. Anderson, 84


Lloyd R. Anderson, 84, of Martinsburg, W.Va., and formerly of Mathias, W.Va., died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Mr. Anderson was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Old Fields, W.Va., and was the son of the late Roy R. and Mildred Stevens Anderson. He was a Master Chief Pipe Fitter in the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving are two sisters, Nellie Ruddle of Baker, W.Va., and Kay Funkhouser of Mathias, W.Va., and two brothers, Kenneth E. Anderson of Franklin, W.Va., and Wayne Anderson of Moorefield, W.Va.

Evangelist John Leininger will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Saturday at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville, W.Va. Burial with military rites will be in the Wardensville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
