Iva G. Anderson, 92

Iva Glenrose Anderson, 92, of 64 Reservoir Ave. in Luray, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at MontVue Nursing Home in Luray.

Mrs. Anderson was born Jan. 14, 1914, in Luray, and was the daughter of the late Peter Kauffman and Sudie Ruffner Kauffman.

She was the owner and operator of Iva’s Market from 1947 to 1970. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and the Luray Fire Department Auxiliary.

On April 14, 1936, she married Garland R. Anderson, who preceded her in death Aug. 16, 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Garland R. Anderson Jr. of Luray and John E. Anderson of Harrisonburg; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Dr. Charles Jolley will conduct a memorial service 11 a.m. Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray. Burial will be at Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.

Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
