Henry D. Anderson

Henry David Anderson, age 90, formerly of Boones Mill, Va., died at Bridgewater Home, Bridgewater, Va., on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005.

He was born April 14, 1914, in Franklin County, the son of the late David P. and Lou Boitnott Anderson. He was self-employed in a trucking business for over 60 years.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Loraine Ikenberry Anderson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue A. and Wyatt Blankingship of Metairie, La., Ann A. Scott, Harrisonburg, Va., and Charles Scott of West Augusta, Va., Robbie A. and John Ellen of Fairfax Station, Va. He is also survived by the following grandchildren, Chris and Karen Botkin, Brian Botkin, Kevin and Susan Botkin, Loraine and John Goff, Ashley and David McGinley, Ryan and Laura Ellen, Jonathan and Tina Ellen, Janna Ellen and Rebecca Ellen; five great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Julian L. Ikenberry and Jesse D. Hoy; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted from Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, with Pastor Bruce Huffman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. (A fellowship meal will be served at noon for family and friends.) Private interment services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park.
