Harry K. Anderson Sr., 75


Harry Kenneth Anderson Sr., 75, of Capon Bridge, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Winchester Medical Center.

Born Dec. 27, 1934, in Ajax, W.Va., he was the son of the late William W. Anderson and Velma Hipp Anderson.

He worked and retired from General Motors and was a member of the Winchester Moose No. 1283.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta (McCauley) Anderson in 1989, a brother, Alvin Anderson, and a sister, Phyllis Flanagan.

Surviving are two sons, Harry K. Anderson and wife, Margaret, of Harrisonburg, William V. Anderson and wife, Debbie, of Huntersville, N.C.; three brothers, Ron Anderson of Capon Bridge, W.Va., Wylie Anderson Jr. and Bob Anderson, both of Kitzmiller, Md.; eight sisters, Shirley Anderson, Helen Crouse, Nancy Brady, Barbara Welch, all of Kitzmiller, Md., Eillen Critcher of Lake Wylie, N.C., Bernadine Dedmon, Thelma Lacy, both of Darien, Ga., Janet Dye of Townsend, Ga.; five grandchildren, Angela Anderson, Andy Anderson, Bucky Anderson, Jason Anderson, Jenny Anderson; and one great-grandson, Parker Clendenen.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, W.Va., with Pastor John Friend officiating. Interment will follow in Augusta Cemetery, Augusta, W.Va.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
