Elizabeth Johnson Anderson, 82, of Waynesboro, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at Augusta Medical Center following a long illness.

She was born Nov. 16, 1923, in Albemarle County, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Walton.

Before her health declined, she loved to travel. Spending time with her family was the most important thing to her.
She was the last member of the Walton family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Quinton Johnson in 1957, her second husband, Eddie Anderson Sr. in 1988, and a grandson, Tony Johnson.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Quinton and Pat Johnson of Timberville, Roy and Marie Johnson of Dyke, Va., Marvin and Ruth Johnson of Orange County, Va.; grandchildren, Tammy Doublestein, the Rev. Timothy Johnson, Christine Johnson, Steven Johnson, David Johnson, Michael Rodriquez, Carla McDonough, Nancy Polensky, John Payne, Chris Payne and Gina Coates and 15 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at McDow Funeral Home by her grandson, the Rev. Timothy Johnson. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at McDow Funeral Home.
