Dorothy J. Anderson

Dorothy "Dot" Jean Anderson, 77, of 2073 Balkamore Hill Road in Stanley, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Anderson was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Bethel, Conn., and was a daughter of the late Seigfried M.V. Sandstrom and Ruth Molhman Sandstrom.

She retired as a nurse from Page Memorial Hospital and Home Health in 2000. She was a member of the National Audubon Society and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

On May 15, 1949, she married Robert E. Anderson, who survives.

She is also survived by two sons, Paul Anderson of Rockville, Md., and David Anderson of Stanley; three daughters, Marjorie Hilliard of Stanley, Vicki Fox of Luray and Shelly Wyatt of Hedgesville, W.Va.; a brother, Roy Sandstrom of Potomac, Md.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Elder Garry W. Losey will conduct a memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stanley Adventist Church.

Arrangements are by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
