Reda M. Amos

Reda May Amos, 85, of 3080 Pine Grove Road in Stanley, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.

Mrs. Amos was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Stanley, and was the daughter of the late Oswald Franklin Southard and Lucy May Southard.

She was a homemaker and a record supervisor for the Library of Congress.

Her husband, Cecil Melvin Amos, preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1974.

She is survived by a sister, Jean S. Short of Stanley; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Jackie Campbell will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
