Alice B. Alvis

Alice Bolen Alvis, Quinton, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003.

She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. She was a retired registered nurse for the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond.

Her husband of 35 years, Chester Alvis, survives.

Also surviving are a sister, Marian "Pete" Good of Luray, and two nephews.

A funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the Providence United Methodist Church, Route 249, Quinton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.
