Della F. Alvey

Della Florence Stepp Harmon Alvey, 85, of Bridgewater, and formerly of Elkton, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, at Bridgewater Retirement Community.

Ms. Alvey was born June 3, 1916, in Elkton, and was the daughter of the late Art N. and Drotha Ann Dovel Stepp.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Elkton Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Luther Wayne Harmon of Shenandoah, and John E. Harmon of Grottoes; two daughters, Delores V. Moritz of Crownsville, Md., and Mary Lou Harmon of New Oxford, Pa.; a sister, Lena Hinegardner of Elkton; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Frank Meadows will conduct a memorial service 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Elkton Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Friends may call at the home of John Harmon, 1098 Patterson Mill Road in Grottoes at any time.
