Lois C. Alt, 84


Lois C. May Alt, 84, of Maysville, W.Va., died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, W.Va.

Mrs. Alt was born April 19, 1922, in Maysville, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Edgar B. May and Annie Blanche Feaster May.

She was a member of Maysville U.M.C., where she was treasurer and Sunday school teacher. She was employed at Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown Md. and was a member of Southern States Ladies’ Auxiliary and the Maysville Fireman’s Auxiliary.

On July 3, 1946, she married Dewey M. Alt, who survives.

She is also survived by a son, Jack Finniff of Hagerstown, Md.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and three nieces.

The Rev. Stanley Kile will conduct the funeral 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. Burial will be at the Maysville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home.
