Elizabeth W. Alt

Elizabeth Wilson "Betsy" Alt, 44, of Petersburg, W.Va., died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at the Winchester Medical Center.

Ms. Alt was born Oct. 10, 1957, in Cumberland, Md., and was the daughter of Lowell E. Alt of Petersburg and the late Elizabeth Smith Alt.

She attended special education classes in Maysville and Petersburg and Camp Sunshine in Petersburg.

In addition to her father, she is survived by four brothers, Lowell E. Alt Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Malcolm "Mike’ Alt of Naples, Fla.; "Smitty" Alt of Petersburg, W.Va., and Wilson M. Alt of Charlotte, N.C.; a niece and a nephew.

The Rev. Gregory A. Rotruck will conduct the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
