James R. Allman


James R. Allman, 68, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at City Hospital.

Mr. Allman was born June 6, 1937, in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Walter and Roda Wenger Allman.

He was the owner of Jim Allman Pre-Owned Vehicles.

He attended Second Baptist Church, was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Martinsburg Moose Lodge and the American Legion.

His wife, Barbara Miller Allman, survives.

Also surviving are four sons, James Daniel Allman of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Richard Allman of Martinsburg, Charles Roberts of Baltimore, Md., and Douglas Allen of Inwood, W.Va.; two daughters, Julie Botkins and Joy Smith, both of Harrisonburg; four brothers, Clyde, Carl, Homer and Gary Allman, all of Harrisonburg; a sister, Bernice Bowers of Harrisonburg, 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The Rev. David L. Miller will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. today at the Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, W.Va. Burial with military graveside services will be in the Tuscarora Cemetery.
