Kenneth E. Allison

Kenneth E. Allison, 82, of 11 Johnson Drive, Luray, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at the home of his daughter, Judith Kay Guzy of Luray.

Mr. Allison was born April 19, 1919, in Alliance, Ohio, and was a son of the late Daniel and Ruby Brogan Allison.

He was a pilot with the Army Air Corp during World War II and was the retired plant manager for the former Alliance Manufacturing Company in Shenandoah. He was a member of the Conrad Masonic Lodge in Alliance, Ohio, the American Legion and the Manor Memorial United Methodist Church in New Market.

On Aug. 20, 1938, he married the former Bernice I. "Bea" Barnett, who preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 1999.

In addition to his daughter, he is survived by a son, James Robert Allison of Dumfries; two brothers, Dale Allison of Alliance, Ohio and Paul Allison of Salem, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Dr. Eugene Thomas will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Manor Memorial United Methodist Church. A private graveside service will be held earlier in the day at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens near Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. this evening at Theis Funeral Chapel in New Market.
