Jo Ann Allen

Jo Ann Allen, 73, of Moorefield, W.Va., died Monday, March 7, 2005, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va.

Mrs. Allen was born June 14, 1931, in Elkins, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Minor and Jesse Warner Hartman.

She was a member of Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies’ Circle.

Her husband, Edwin B. Allen, preceded her in death in June 1996.

Survivors include three sons, Edwin B. "Robin" Allen Jr. of Morgantown, W.Va., and Mark T. Allen and Carl Eric Allen, both of Summersville, W.Va.; a daughter; Carol Y. Ours of Petersburg; two brothers, Robert Hartman of
Staunton and Jack Hartman of St. Augustine, Fla., and three grandchildren.

Pastor Ed Craft and the Rev. Ted Osgood will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield, W.Va. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
