Fred L. Allen

Fred Leroy Allen, 56, of Liberty, Missouri and formerly of the Port Republic area went to be with our Lord Friday, February 18, 2005.

Fred was born December 4, 1948 and was a son of the late Charles Leon and Kathleen McInturff Allen of Grottoes.

He was a maintenance worker employed by Clay County, Missouri, and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Chong "Connie" Sun Allen; two sons, Young Allen and Phillip Allen of Liberty, Missouri; five brothers, Harry Allen, Ralph Allen, Lester Allen of Grottoes, Carl Allen of Waynesboro, and Chester Allen of Elkton; three sister, Pearl Voiles of Knoxville, Tennessee, Betty Holloway of McGaheysville, and Patricia Deavers of Shenandoah. Five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Crawford and Janet Dean.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:00 O’clock in the Port Republic Cemetery by the Reverends Margaret and Timmy Edwards. The family will receive friends Friday evening 7:00 to 8:00 O’clock at the Kyger-Pence Funeral Home of McGaheysville.
