Mark A. Alger, 48


Mark Anthony Alger, 48, of 23 E. Old Barn Road, Luray, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, in Luray.

Mr. Alger was born Sept. 10, 1959, in Luray and was the son of Freeda Diana Breeden Alger of Luray and the late Virgil Sylvester Alger Jr.

He worked at Pilgrim's Pride as a poultry worker for six years. He graduated from Luray High School in 1978.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, Virgil S. Alger III of Rileyville and Bret Lane Alger of Gardners, Pa.; a sister, Veronica J. Brubaker of Luray; a companion, Jamey C. Abbott of Rileyville; two nephews and a niece.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
