Larry D. Alger


Larry D. Alger, 58, of Harrisonburg, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, July 31, 2012, following a brief illness.

He was born July 30, 1954, in Harrisonburg, and is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Jane Harper (Bill) of Harrisonburg. His father, Forrest D. Alger, preceded him in death.

Larry was employed with Weaver’s Flooring for 15 years. Since 2001, he and his wife have been owner/operators of LA Services LLC, a floor care and water restoration company.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Campbell Alger, and one son, Anthony Michael Alger, both of Harrisonburg.

He is also survived by two brothers, Bruce Alger (Lynne) of New Market and Terry Alger (Cheryl) of Richmond; two sisters, Melody Hinderer (Steve) of Drums, Pa., and Glory Polk of New Market; and 16 nieces and nephews.

No formal service will be held at this time. A celebration of his life is planned for a later date.
