Ollie V. Aleshire

Ollie Virginia Aleshire, age 83, of 415 First St., Luray, Va., died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at MontVue Nursing Home in Luray.

Mrs. Aleshire was born Aug. 16, 1918, in Stanley, and was the daughter of the late Luther Franklin Aleshire and Edith Mae Dinges Aleshire.

She graduated from Stanley High School in 1937 and was a textile worker at Luray Textile. She was a member of Leaksville United Church of Christ.

On July 20, 1940, she married William Haskell Aleshire, who died Oct. 24, 1984.

She is survived by a daughter, Sally Mae Barton of Luray; three grandchildren, Belinda Linette Hulver of Kirby, W.Va., Kimberly Dawn Slye of Luray, and James Todd Barton of Winchester; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Christine Slye and Shannon Nikole Slye, both of Luray, and Zachary Nathaniel Barton of Winchester; and one step-great-grandchild, Andrew Hulver, of Kirby, W.Va.

The Revs. Thomas Rothgeb and Ethel J. Painter will conduct the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at Leaksville United Church of Christ. Burial will be April 10 in the Leaksville Cemetery in Luray.

The body will be taken to the Leaksville United Church of Christ 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, where the family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Arrangements are by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
