Maria P. Alekseychuk, 82


Maria Prokofyevna Alekseychuk, 82, of Harrisonburg, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Alekseychuk was born Feb. 14, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., and was a daughter of the late Prokofiy and Fekla Yasko.

She had lived in Belarus from the age of three years, until moving back to Virginia in 1995.

Her husband, Konstantin Alekseychuk, preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Halina Myshkavets of Harrisonburg and Lizaveta Yashchanka of Bridgewater; a son, Danil Aleksiaichuk of Bridgewater; a sister, Hannah Kuzmenchuk of Belarus; and six grandchildren.

The Rev. Petr Tkachuk will conduct the funeral 10 a.m. Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Clover Hill Cemetery in Dayton.
